Concussion Awareness Pledge

  • I pledge to educate myself and others about the signs and symptoms of concussions, while acknowledging that feeling slightly “off” is one of the most common symptoms.

  • I recognize that concussions are hard to self-diagnose and therefore I need to play an active role in advocating that others seek help after a suspected concussion.

  • I will support and encourage those who have experienced concussions because I understand that concussions are treatable.

  • I promise to prioritize my brain health and take immediate action if I suspect a concussion.

  • I will promote a culture of prevention and safety to reduce the risk of concussions.

A note from our team:

After treating concussions for nearly a decade, we have seen the difficulty in patients acknowledging they have a concussion. We know there needs to be more education. We are here to change this, beginning in our community. Concussion awareness needs to be a team effort. We need the friends, family, and team members of those who sustain a concussion to advocate for them, to help them seek treatment, and to help them heal." Join us in this mission:
